Noise Pollution is Back

September 23, 2015 by Carolyn Withrow

Its Fall and that means that Noise Pollution is back. Yesterday we had our first show of the semester at our new time (Tuesdays at 4). We talked about Sea Otter awareness week, the new Community Access Bikeshare station on campus (which you can still sign up for here) some Laurier Sustainability Resources (check out the Laurier Sustainability Office or the EcoHawks) and the … [Read more...] about Noise Pollution is Back

Over 100 African elephants are killed daily for their tusks and it is estimated that the species will become extinct in the next 10 years. We … [Read more...] about Blood Ivory

How has the Earth Changed in your Lifetime?

March 11, 2015 by Carolyn Withrow

While scrolling through twitter this week I came across this really cool link from BBC earth, you put in your birthday, height and gender and it tells you lots of ways which the earth has changed since you were born, from how much the tectonic plates have moved in comparison to your height to how old you will be when we run out of coal and oil. We talked about how the earth has … [Read more...] about How has the Earth Changed in your Lifetime?
