At Radio Laurier, we believe in amplifying student voices within the Laurier community and beyond. We feature a wide range of programming, from weekly shows based on music, to talk radio that tackles complex issues.
There’s something for everyone at Radio Laurier, and we are always looking for new ideas and volunteers that bring diverse programming that serves all groups within our community to the table.

Meet the Radio Laurier Exec Team 2025-2026

Nate Dawes
Station Manager
Nate is Tired. Got into RL in second year to put bad music on the radio, and they’re back to ruin the whole slate for a year. In their free time they’re bad at guitar and videogames. Listen to Pool Kids and Oso oso svp.

Grace Moat
Program Director
Grace is in her fourth year of Communications Studies at Laurier. In her free time, she loves to hang out with friends and watch movies. She is hoping to make a difference as the Program Director.

Harper Young
Music Director
Harper is a third year music student and passionate jazz musician. In his free time he likes to spend time repairing amplifiers and small electronics. He’s very excited to broaden his music taste as he starts his position as music director!

Ian Bailey
Sports Manager
Ian is a fourth year Economics student at WLU, and in his third year working with Radio Laurier. He hopes you’ll enjoy the quality live broadcasts of Laurier sports as much as you’ll enjoy the weekly discussion, analysis, and hot takes surrounding anything and everything going on in local and professional competition.

Karissa Reilly
Production Manager
Karissa is a third year Ancient Studies and Archaeology student at WLU. She has been involved with Radio Laurier for three years, starting out as a show host, then moving to management in her second year. She is so excited to produce and share radio content and work with volunteers this year! In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and watching Glee.

Matteo Beckles
Public Relations Manager
Matteo is a third-year BBA student in this third year with Radio Laurier. He started off with the sports broadcasting team, and is now excited to apply his marketing skills to build awareness and engagement for Radio Laurier with the public relations team.

Abigail Liut
Morning Show/After Class Manager
Abigail Liut is a second year Bachelor of Business Administration student at Wilfrid Laurier University. This is her second year with Radio Laurier, where she’s loved being part of the station’s creative and supportive community. She’s very excited to continue collaborating with the Radio Laurier team this year and help bring engaging content to life. In her free time, she enjoys working out, playing guitar, and spending time with the friends and family.

Oluoma Nasa-Okolie
News Director
Oluoma is in her third year as a Data Science Honors major and is excited to bring the talks of our world to you. In her free time, she enjoys reading books/manga, watching anime and going to the gym. She is confident in her ability as a News Director and can’t wait to make an impact!

Maryanne Smith
Events/Promotions Manager
Meagan is a second year Biology BSc student at Laurier. In her free time, she enjoys making crafts and writing horror literature. She wants to become an ophthalmologist in the future and is very excited to bring her skills and energy to make a positive impact at Radio Laurier as the Events/Promotions Manager.
