At 5:00 am on Sunday, the Kitchener Fire Department was called to the St. Mary’s Hospital. The main water pipe was discovered to be broken and a massive flood developed in the basement of the health facility. Haisla First Nation Chief Councillor, Ellis Ross, called for the evacuation of Kitimat in Bristish Columbia after heavy Snowfall battered the area.
