The Crunch – Episode 7 – Session 7

November 23, 2017 by NLapenna

The Crunch, hosted by Nikola Lapenna, is a sports debate show ranging with professional athletics from all around North America including the NFL, NHL, NBA, PGA Tour and so much more.

To start, Nick ran through the NFL scores on the weekend and provided insight in the tightly contested NFC playoff picture.

Nick then invited guest Cameron Reeves to discuss the recent 6 game win streak for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Nick researched that goalie Fredrick Anderson had started to recover from his slow start and had put up a .939 save percentage throughout the month of November, a drastic improvement. They then debated the rumor of a trade that shocked the Toronto hockey world, with star William Nylander being on the trading block despite a fantastic year. Nick went ballistic against the blogger, Bob Mackenzie, for his antics on this rumor along with past actions that have resulted in much controversy.

Nick and Cam then debated the Cleveland Cavaliers recent streak and debated if they were just starting to put the pieces together to get ready for the Boston Celtics, the likely opponent in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Nick then talked about Tiger Woods’ return to golf, as he will make his official 2017 debut at the Hero World Challenge. Nick then explained that because the golf world is wide open, if Tiger can regain any previous magic he may start to win again.

Nick finished with inviting on NASCAR expert Matthew Zurzolo to recap the finals races, and then picked his top 5 games in the NFL for the “Top 5 No Debating” segment.
