Week 09: After Class Summer Edition

August 17, 2016 by Khadijah Plummer

DJ Deej was solo dolo in the studio, and she wanted to talk about PND3, the latest album from Mississauga-born artist Jahron Braithwaite, also known as PARTYNEXTDOOR. According to the review on Pitchfork, the album has gotten a rating of 7.4 out of 10, and is also said to be his “most confident” work to date. To read the entire review, click here.

PND penned Rihanna and Drake’s fiery summer track, Work, which can found on Rihanna‘s latest album titled ANTI. The track spent nine consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 100. There is such incredible talent emerging out of Ontario consistently. DJ Deej has been listening to PARTYNEXTDOOR since the early days, and she still appreciates the new album. It does have a bit of a different feel, including more of an island vibe, but it is the perfect album for summer.

This week’s track list is as follows:

  1. Bring Me Your Love – Giraffage ft. THEA
  2. Playing For You – Joe Hertz ft. Bassette
  3. Vibe W/U – A. Chal
  4. Break It Down (Louis Futon Remix) – Logic ft. Jhene Aiko
  5. House Work -Jax Jones
  6. Not Nice – PARTYNEXTDOOR
  7. Right Now – PARTYNEXTDOOR
  8. Novacane – Jack Marzilla
  9. Why You Always Hatin’ – YG ft. Drake, Kamaiyah
  10. Too Good (Drake and Rihanna Cover) – Drake ft. Conor and Sarah
  11. Girl – The Internet ft. Kaytranada
  12.  Oh Boy – Cam’Ron

Tuesdays from 9-10 p.m. Tune in, and turn up.
