Week 02: January 11, 2016

January 13, 2016 by Sarah Gooderham

The Next Coachella? A new music festival coming to New York!

If you didn’t catch last night’s After Class show, this week’s show was about “under-the-weather” weather since Dj Deej caught a cold and the cold yesterday made for a great cozy night. Dj S-goods talked about the music world and recent news concerning David Bowie, 69, who passed away on Monday January 11th 2016 from a battle with cancer. In his latest music video titled Lazarus, from his last album, Blackstar was his way of saying goodbye to his fans. In this moving video we see a much older and frailer David, who is bound to what looks like an old fashion hospital bed. If you haven’t seen it and are a fan or simply curious you can check it out by clicking here.

Last week Dj Deej and S-Goods released the information about the Coachella 2016 line-up. This week Dj S-Goods announced that the producers of Coachella have confirmed that there is be a brand new music festival coming to the Big Apple! That’s right, Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, are coming to New York City for the next big music festival. Panorama will take place from July 22-24 at Randall’s Island Park. Dj Sgoods commented on this news, thinking that Panorama will be the next big festival, much like Coachella, Veld, and Digital Dreams and so fourth. The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but a press release promises top tier musical performances, state-of-the-art technology, and some of New York’s best local cuisine! Keep tuning in to find out more information on this new Music Festival. See you next week!
