Keeg ‘n Roccs, Valentine’s Day Special

February 15, 2018 by Keegan Pinto

Well, good evening, folks- especially to the single people out there.

Tonight on Keeg ‘n Roccs, as usual, DJ Roccs was a little busy. This fine evening, he actually had a Valentine’s Day date! It was with none other than his– ahem– right hand. Also as per usual, Dan-J replaced him.

First things first, here’s the playlist.

We started off the conversation with a really tough question- the chase versus the direct approach. Everyone says they don’t like “playing games,” but what about the game? The back and forth, the guesswork, the suspense, the building excitement- that’s what DJ Pints is into. The direct approach just doesn’t work for him: it’s too nerve-racking! Dan-J, however, is the complete opposite. As he said on air, his conversations with potential partners typically follow a clear, multistep question approach: “How are you? What’s your name? Do you like ropes?” Our DJs don’t share much in common when it comes to romance.

They also don’t share much in common when it comes to dates. Pints likes ’em, Dan doesn’t. As the latter said, if you got stuck in a relationship on V-Day, you’ve already messed up. Clearly, the question of whether or not Dan-J is a sociopath should be considered more seriously.

The Dan’s List this week was stellar- like one takes a chance on love, we put together a Chance the Rapper Dan’s List. Chance features on the first two (I. The Worst Guys and Sunday Candy), and hosts Saba on the final tune, one we picked from his 2016 album Coloring Book: Angels.

Like the Dan’s List? Have some ideas? Let us know.

As always, stay beautiful, and stay Golden. We’ll see you guys next week!

And hey, if you thought you didn’t have someone to love you this Valentine’s Day, you’re wrong- cause you’ve got us!
