SpectruMusic Week 8 (Best Of 2017)

January 18, 2018 by Lucas_GuLucas

2017 was a great year for music and this show was an example of that. From the vivid beats of Brockhampton to the calming melodies of Real Estate, I played some of my favorite tracks from last year (and a few from 2018)

Lots of stories since it’s been awhile since my last show but the key story was the whole Lana Del Ray/ Radiohead scandal. Basically if you haven’t heard, Lana Del Ray accused Radiohead of trying to sue them for similarities in with Creep in her song Get Free. However, turns out they had no intentions of any sort of legal action. More the reason we don’t play Lana on here (and because I don’t really care for her music) so enough of that.

We also had the unfortunate death of Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries

We also discussed all the upcoming shows, albums and how disappointing Coachellea looks.

Most important albums announced include Of Montreal, the Breeders, Bleachers, Jack White, MGMT and more

Tour wise we have the national and big theif together as well as Jack White, MGMT, David Bryne, MBV for the first time in 4 years and just announced this morning The Distillers announced their reunion tour which evokes too much nostalgia for me to when I was like 6.

Anyway here’s the set list and a link to Moby being Moby
