After Class – Hawk House (Ep.2)

October 28, 2017 by Shrey Kantaria

Let’s get ready for the weekend!

We had a great show in honor of Halloween (or as DJ Lush likes to call it… “Hallo-weekend”). I’m not complaining with the whole “Hallo-weekend” term though, the longer Halloween is the better!

Life Hacks of the Week

Ever get a call from a telemarketer? and then one from the same telemarketer less than an hour later? Well we’ve got the perfect ways to make sure that your telemarketer stops pestering you.

Our first tactic is to use the “Seinfeld Way”, tell the person on the other line that you can’t talk right now and that you will call them back on their personal cell. They will immediately resist as they can’t strangers their number, you can then use this tactic by putting them in your shoes for calling you. Check out Jerry Seinfeld using this method himself

A funnier way to stop a telemarketer is to make them think that they have just involved themselves into a crime scene by calling you, more on this is attached in the link!

Warm vs Cold Showers

With midterms this week and classes at either 8:30am or 9:30am in the morning, DJ Shrey thought that he would try the cold shower challenge. This is essentially a challenge where every day you take a cold shower for a week. Although it wasn’t pleasant in the moment, I must admit that I felt a lot more refreshed, awoke, and alert to start my day with a cold shower. However, I think I would only do this again in the summer because warm showers for me are what I look forward too to get out of bed in the morning!

P.S – A sweet hack is if you are out of an ironing board, hang your clothes up in the shower so that the steam can tackle wrinkles 😀

Michael Jackson, King of pop?

In honor of Halloween we had to play Thriller by Michael Jackson, who some would call the King of Pop. If you know us by now, you know we play more than just regular songs which is why we chose to play the Steve Aoki remix. This got us thinking, is MJ still the King of Pop based on the impact that his music has on the pop genre? We still consider MJ the King of Pop, his music isn’t still just listened too, but it’s also unique and has inspired many great pop milestones.

When your Parents tell you not to Lie

After your parents tell you not to talk to strangers before sending you to a school with teachers they don’t even know the first name of, we came across some of the best lies told by parents. From telling a child they can only say up to 10,000 words a month to getting a red pimple every time you tell a lie. We would love to hear your stories on lies your parents told you, so feel free to tweet us @RLAfterclass
