Boko Haram Pledges Allegiance to ISIS

In an audio released on Saturday, it is purported that the leader of Boko Haram was noted saying that his terror organization is pledging allegiance to ISIS.

The audio release has since been authenticated by experts.

The allegiance is expected to become officially when an ISIS leader issues a statement.

‘Friendly Fire’ Kills Canadian Soldier

Dead is 31 year old Sgt. Andrew Joseph Doiron after his battalion received what has been described as ‘friendly fire’ from the Iraqi Kurdish forces.

The Kurdish forces have said it was a case of mistaken identity.

Doiron was the only fatality as three of his team mates sustained injuries but were in stable condition.

Homicide Case in Kitchener

51-year-old Kate Lynn Reid was last seen in early January, and was reported missing at the end of that month.

Hugh Rayburn McColl from Kitchener was arrested with the assistance of the Toronto Police Service.

The Waterloo Regional Police has slapped McColl with a charge of second degree murder as their search for the body intensifies.

The Dutchmen Stood Tall

The Dutchmen defeated the Cyclones 6-2 at Kinsmen Arena on Thursday night, to clinch their best-of-seven quarter-final series four games to one.

Adam Kawalec had two goals and two assists to lead the Dutchmen.  Kawalec scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:33 into the first period.

The Dutchmen added two more unanswered goals in the next ten minutes and were never threatened after that.

 

 Big Bang Theory Remembers Mr. Spock

The Big Bang Theory show has paid tribute to the person who voiced Mr. Spock on Star Trek. Leonard Nimoy died at the age of 83 on Friday.

At the end of the episode, a picture of Nimoy appeared, with the caption “The impact you had on our show and on our lives is everlasting.”
