An English Message Follows

Bonjour mes amis,

Hello!

This week I found this, (sorry folks it’s not in English): French rap and it’s drinks in 11 images

Isn’t that so cool!! Oh man, I saw that and I knew I had to dedicate a whole show to it. I was also really happy about it because I find I will often dedicate shows to indie/folk/pop but I don’t often find enough songs in a week to do a whole song on rap/hip hop/rnb. I was cool to see all these different drinks from different countries too. Do you know any? Here’s my favourite song, it’s from Doc Gyneco and it’s called Je Suis Né Ici:

I like this one too, La Caution – Thé à la menthe:

This part might get a little lost in translation but I shared the story of the time in France when I went out with my German friends and they all got “mint tea” (sounds VERY similar to “German tea”). From then, i thought that was a thing and that Germans all got “German Tea”. Lesson: learning new languages can have some incredibly embarrassing moments.

Alright, I’ll stop myself there! Thanks for tuning in and catch the show next week!
