Dinosaur Bones 'Shaky Dream' Review

Indie music fans rejoice! On August 6th Dinosaur Bones dropped their second album following their 2011 LP, My Divider. The 10 tracks on current album, Shaky Dream feature gloomy tunes from lead vocalist, Ben Fox. Lurid and dark, the pop-rock sound creates an enjoyably murky collection of songs. Listeners may be surprised when tracks “Career Criminal” and “Go Free” shake things up with a much more sinister tone.

Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, each musician melds within the group to create a unique, signature sound. Jack Congleton, who has also worked with the likes of “The Mountain Goats”, and “St. Vincent”, collaborated with the band in Texas to bring it all together. Stepping things up in a big way, Shaky Dream is a front-to -back album you don’t want to miss. Watch a brief interview with the band, and check out my favorite song, “Spins in Circle” performed, above.^
Essential tracks: PACIFIST IN CAMOUFLAGE, CAREER CRIMINAL and SPINS IN CIRCLES.
