Tay Swift and Calvin Harris hit the one year mark!

March 8, 2016 by Jacqueline Waters

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the upcoming festivities of St. Patrick’s Day this year. There were rumours of it being banned but that is far from the truth! The university has taken steps toward toning things down, the Students’ Union insists the celebrations are still on. Those of you who haven’t read the article yourself should know that Lauriers Students’ Union president Olivia Matthews wrote on the Laurier website saying : “There are some students who want to study and go to class on March 17. That is a perfectly acceptable choice. There are some students who want to go celebrate. That is also acceptable.  It is the responsibility of the university to ensure your safety and it is our responsibility as the students’ union to offer you the best student experience inclusive of both academics and social life.”.  So not to worry Golden Hawks, St. Patrick’s Day is still on but it is your choice whether you participate in the festivities or go to class, whatever you choose it is your choice and be safe!

A lot of people are talking about Kim Kardashian’s recent nude photograph  she posted to her Instagram. The 35-year-old reality star gave birth to her second child, Saint West, a little over three months ago and after working hard to get the baby weight off , she decided to pose completely naked of course covered up partially with censor strips. She captioned the picture “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL”.

On another note,  Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have officially been dating for a year! The 32-year-old DJ and music producer Calvin Harris took to Snapchat on Sunday to share an adorable video of how he and his girlfriend Taylor Swift celebrated their special day!  A few hours later, Tay Swift posted an Instagram photo of a gold locket engraved with the date “3.6.15.” She captioned the photo “One year down!”, along with a heart emoji! I’m so happy for Tay, I just love her and hey I mean if they end up breaking up there could be another album…

Hope everyone enjoyed today’s show, tune in next week for more Entertainment Insight. Stay happy, stay healthy and stay golden, hawks!
