Environmental Awareness and Social Action

January 31, 2014 by Rachael McWilliams

Hey All! We know it’s been a while since we blogged about our show but this past week on NP we dedicated the show to talking about Reberb, the non-profit organization that we mention often during our spotlight artist segment. Reverb helps to integrate the music and environmental communities by educating and engaging musicians and their fans to take action toward a more sustainable future!

They provide comprehensive, custom greening programs for music tours while conducting outreach with fans around the globe, as well as working to move forward the sustainable practices of music industry leaders, including venues, record labels, and radio stations.

Drake was our feature artist because in 2010 he was part of Reverb’s Campus Consciousness Tour. A tour to inspire students to act and educate them about having a minimal environmental footprint. Checkout this link to find out more about past ours and for a chance to bring a CCT to a school near you! http://www.reverb.org/CCTsite/cctabout.html

Tune in next week to hear some more great tunes from some environmentally friendly artists!
