The Top 10: The Most Influential British Bands

November 22, 2013 by Robin Daprato

Hey Guys,

So once again sorry for being late on last weeks Top 10 but here it is. So, a couple weeks ago I visited England and it was such an amazing trip. The history that exists in England, specifically London, is amazing. Beyond that the musical history is one which is unrivalled. I forgot how many great bands are English and this trip was a reminder to that fact. So I decided to compile a list of The Top 10 Most Influential Bands. So, due to the fact that this is such a basis topic, I decided that this list would cover different genres, influences and achievements to cover many different kinds of genres and influence. So some of these bands may not be the most popular bands (some are) but they all are influential in their own ways and I definitely would recommend checking them out (I mean alot of these bands you may already be familiar with) or rediscover their greatness.

Here it is:

10) The Specials-A Message To You Rudy

9) Radiohead-Fake Plastic Trees

8) Queen-Another One Bites The Dust

7) The Smiths-I Want The One I Can’t Have

6) Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here

5) Led Zeppelin-D’yer Maker

4) The Clash-Straight To Gell

3) The Rolling Stones-Brown Sugar

2) The Who-My Generation

1) The Beatles-A Day In The Life

Enjoy & tune in next week!

Cheers,

Robin (The Top 10)
