TWO OF HOLLYWOOD’S NOTABLE FIGURES PASS AWAY FROM CANCER

This week has been one of many sad deaths as yet another two of entertainments most notable figures has passed away from cancer.

English actor, Alan Rickman, passed away on Thursday from cancer at the age of 69. The actor is most well known for playing Professor Snape in the Harry Potter film series and Hans Gruber in Die Hard(1988).

Rickman began his career on stage before taking his talents to the screen in his first major role in Die Hard at the age of 41.
Although Rickman took a late start to his on screen career, he has created a large influences as a talented actor and artist of our time.

Another sad death also took many by surprise as Celine Dion’s husband, René Angélil, also passed away on Thursday from a long battle with throat cancer Angélil passed away at the age of 73. As confirmed by the Clark County Office of the CoronerAngélil died of natural causes while under the care of a physician. Rene Angélil was also notably Celine Dions former manager.

These two deaths come only four days after the legendary David Bowies passing from cancer on Sunday.


CANADIAN MAN ARRESTED AFTER SMUGGLING ACROSS BORDER ON SLED 

Authorities have reported that a 21 year old male has been arrested as he was transporting a sled holding 82kg of prescription pills across the Canadian border into the United States.

The US Attorney’s Office has identified the man as Cedrik Bourgault-Morin. Bourgault-Morin was arrested early Wednesday after attempting to cross the border from Quebec into Vermont.

After triggering a sensor authorities were alerted and quickly arrived onsite to find Bourgault-Morin with pills valued at $1.6 million.

The 21 year old was being held in a Vermont prison on Thursday.

Bourgault-Morin faces a $250,000 in fines and a jail sentence of 5 years in U.S prison.
No further comments have been made by Bourgault-Morin representatives.


EOS FACES LAWSUIT DUE TO ALLEGED HEALTH CONCERNS 

Lawsuits have been launched against one of the most popular lip balms in cosmetics.

EOS faces lawsuits from a consumer who claims the lip balm contains health concerns that EOS has not disclosed on its packaging.

The woman, Rachael Cronin, filed a class action lawsuit against the well known brand, stating that the product caused her lips to crack, blister and bleed.

Cronin claimed that her lips felt like “sandpaper” and when she went ahead to re-apply the balm her lips became irritated with blisters and bleeding. Her condition supposedly lasting for 10 days.
