Episode 1: The ethical implications of data-driven decision making systems with Keith Masterman
Keith Masterman is a lawyer called to the bar of Ontario in 1989. He specializes in post-mortem tax and estate planning, as well as tax planning for trusts and owner-managed businesses. He is currently a full-time lecturer at Wilfrid Laurier University where he has taught, either full-time or on a contract basis since 1989. During the 35 years of his Laurier teaching career, he has taught both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Before joining the WLU faculty on a full-time basis, Keith gained experience both in the private practice of law and in the corporate setting. He worked as an executive at a fund company and one of the big five Canadian banks.
Keith is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), holding the TEP designation. He is also a board member with the Perth/Huron United Way.
Episode 2: Artificial intelligence, programming and machine learning trends with Dr. Sukhjit Singh Sehra
Dr. Sukhjit Singh Sehra is an assistant professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. With a distinguished career spanning 18 years across academia, research, and industry, he has held positions at notable institutions such as Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana, India, and Elocity Technologies in Canada.
Dr. Sehra’s teaching repertoire includes undergraduate and graduate courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, natural language processing, data science and big data.
Dr. Sehra is also a co-founder and director of the Sabudh Foundation in India, a data science organization dedicated to social initiatives. Through Sabudh, he is instrumental in developing an incubation center for artificial intelligence and machine learning to empower the youth of India. His commitment extends to using technology to address social issues effectively.
Episode 3: Pathways to financial freedom for university students with Rudyard Tull
Rudyard Tull is a business owner under World Financial Group, in the business of helping families achieve their financial goals. Their object is to ensure no family is left behind by teaching two major principles: Owning your own business, and building or rebuilding a solid financial foundation.
Rudyard has 20 years of experience as a private investor and 12 years building business portfolios.

Episode 4: The culture of active and sustainable mobility with Arcy Canumay
Arcy Canumay is passionate about fostering a “Culture of Active and Sustainable Mobility” by collaborating with community members and organizations to develop projects and implement solutions to benefit current and future generations.
Arcy and his family migrated from the Philippines to Canada in 2004. They’ve established their roots in Waterloo and have grown close to the community. Cycling has positively changed Arcy’s life, making him feel healthier and happier as he enjoys his commute around Waterloo region.
Episode 5: The Routledge Handbook on Resource Governance in Africa with Hany Besada
Professor Hany Besada is the editor of The Routledge Handbook of Natural Resource Governance in Africa. He is also non-executive director at MAFCO Capital and executive director at the Institute for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development, as well as a former research professor in the Institute of African Studies at Carleton University.
