Takes on Tones: BANKS

Hey all,

On Chooseday, Peder and I reviewed the 2012 release ‘Banks‘ by Paul Banks, the second solo effort from the lead singer of Interpol. Both of us liked a handful of songs on the album, and we both agreed that a lot of the album sounded tired and sombre. It is definitely a new direction for Banks, which we thought was curious since the album is named Banks, which gave us a sense that this was a real defining album in terms of Banks’ identity. (Adam: 6.9 | Peder 6.8)

Tune in next week for a review of the Death From Above 1979 show (tonight) where they are playing some new music. If we can remember, we may even be recording the show so you can keep us in your ears all the time!

We are tweeting #TakesOnTones during the show. Tune in every Tuesday night from 8-9pm and don’t stop there. Catch The A&E Show and The Naughty Prude after Takes on Tones. Thanks for listening.
