Welcome back to Press Start to BGN, this week on the show we talked about which Pokémon would be our dream starter and if we could choose a game franchise to continuously have games being made which game franchise that we like can no longer go on? If you are a first time listener/reader Press Start to BGN is Laurier’s gaming show by a bunch of Game Design & Development students here at Laurier’s Brantford campus. The program is very new and so is our show, so for those who don’t know Game Design & Development is headed by Dr Scott Nicholson through the Brantford Games Network or BGN, hence the name “Press Start to BGN” which sounds like “begin.” Thanks for tuning in!

NEWS!

• Microsoft is a having a spring sale and for the first time, instead of just a few deals there are a… a lot of deals. Just a whole bunch of deals. Wow look at all those games you can buy. From big AAA titles to Indie games there is for sure a deal.
• Guac-a-what? Guacamelee you goof! Guacamelee 2 is coming to PC!
• Jurassic World is getting a game, it’s called Jurassic World Evolution and it has a release date. It will be released digitally on June 12 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and physically on July 3 for PS4 and Xbox One.
• Chasm is being released for PS4 and PS Vita this summer. “Chasm is a Metroid-style action adventure game where each room has been hand-designed, but the game stitches them together in a way which will be different for every player. Players will explore these unique, sprawling labyrinths to obtain powerful new equipment and battle deadly monsters” -IGN

• Blizzard has revealed about the returning King’s Row Uprising event for Overwatch, which will be running from April 10 – 30.
