Salutations!
I’ve combined my show from last week and this week into one blog post because both shows were shortened due to interviews for the current election taking place. Voting takes place today the 30th, tomorrow the 31st, and February the 1st online and in person. If you weren’t planning on voting, I strongly suggest you do. Not only will it bring change to Laurier’s student council, but an incentive is the root beer float that will you will be given just for showing the confirmation code that you get after voting!
Last show I had on Adam Kovacs and Klaudia Wojtanowski. Adam, who is a big fan of the chicken bites at Wilf’s, is running for a spot on the Board of Directors as well as Board of Governors. Klaudia Wojtanowski, who is minoring in both Political Science and French, is running for a spot on the Board of Governors. Their platforms are posted on the WLUSU website as well as all the information needed for voting.
On today’s show, I had Garrison Oosterhof and Daniel Vandebor live in studio for their interviews. They are running for positions with the Wilfrid Laurier University Student Publications. The platforms for both Garrison, who is in his second year in working with The Cord, and Dan, who is a big fan of the spin dip at Wilf’s, are both posted online on The Cord’s website.
Bleeding Blue & White
The Maple Leafs welcome the New York Islanders to Toronto on Wednesday after the all-star break which just took place. Auston Matthews, as well as the other top players in the league, showed off their skills in the skills competition on Saturday and in the 3-on-3 hockey tournament on Sunday.
