Hey golden hawks, here’s Dj Kayles with our week 11 blog! This week on The Jam, Dj Mola created a playlist of mostly rock hits to get your creative and critical juices flowing for the up coming exam szn. After watching a documentary called Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock, she decided to produce a playlist full of 70s-90s rock hits, from David Bowie to Lou Reed, as well as some Bob Marley to add a different kind of flow to the show. Our Jam of the Week was a song called Love You by Syd Barrett. Below you can find a video playing the song as well as the album art for the song.
This week, we related to the general audience more by mentioning how procrastination has grabbed us full force this semester, and we both cannot seem to get anything done until we have absolutely no time left. As far as topics go, Dj Mola and I filled listeners in on some good places to eat out during exams in case you don’t quite feel like cooking. These places included Bao, Lazeez, Freshii, The Princess Cafe, and Settlement Co. as well as some other places you may not have heard about. We also gave advice on good ways to make your room more “study friendly”. This included things such as cleaning up, no music, more plants, and A COMFORTABLE CHAIR!
Below you can find all the songs we played this week in case you missed out on any song names during our show! We’re sad that this was our last show for this semester, but we’ll catch you next semester for some quality content from your favorite Dj’s. Merry Christmas and good luck on those exams!
