The Crunch is a sports talk show on the Radio Laurier Network. It is hosted by Nikola Lapenna, and with guests invited on, it runs from 7:00-8:00 pm on Monday’s.
To start, Nick went through the American Thanksgiving football games, noting that Case Keenum of the Minnesota Vikings is starting to make folks believe in him as a starting quarterback. He then dispelled the notion that Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys (often compared to Carson Wentz of the Eagles) is a more accomplished and better quarterback. He then finished with analysis of the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints, who are set to clash this weekend with the winner to take the NFC South division lead.
Nick then debated the Oklahoma City Thunder’s slow start with their new superstars and reminded the audience that when Lebron James went to Miami, a similar start to the season occurred. We all know what happened in Miami, and Nick suggested that Carmelo Anthony take a step back to let Russ Westbrook take command as the leader of the team.
Nick then gave props to the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning and St. Louis Blues who look like the top teams in their respective conferences. He then said the Washington Capitals look like an interesting team as a wildcard. Nick then gave a preview of the upcoming Hero World Challenge, and remarked that Tiger Woods’ return could be a surprise to the doubters. Multiple PGA Tour players who played rounds with him earlier in the week said he looks very good and could be a threat in the near future.
Nick then ended the show with “Top 5 No Debating” where he chose NFL games in the upcoming week. He was 4-1 last week and looks to continue his run in the green this week.
