Senior Management
Program Director
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Program Director oversees the Radio Laurier programming schedule and works with programmers to ensure on-air quality. The Program Director also plans and facilitates all programming committee meetings. The Director also provides feedback and guidance to all staple show managers (Morning Show, Sports, and After Class) as well as providing on-air training to all DJ’s.
Based at: Waterloo Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Assemble and Oversee the Radio Laurier programming schedule and monitor the quality of on-air shows
- Ensure programmer’s are compliant with Radio Laurier Policy and the WLUSP Code of Ethics
- Facilitate weekly Programming Committee meetings as well as ensuring all shows are receiving regular and quality feedback from Programming Committee
- Assist on-air volunteers in developing shows
- Facilitate on-air workshops for programmers
- Train on-air volunteers
- Uphold and update Programming Committee team policy
- Provide feedback and guidance to staple show managers (Morning Show, Sports, and After Class)
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
Promotions and Branding Director
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Promotions and Branding Director is responsible for managing the Street Team and overseeing all promotions on campus and in the community at the Waterloo Campus. The Promotions and Branding Director will help organize promotional campaigns with other promotional aspects of the station to ensure effectiveness.
Based at: Waterloo Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Effectively train and manage all street team members
- Hold weekly Street Team meetings
- Coordinate a weekly booth in the concourse
- Coordinate street team participation in all promotional initiatives
- Develop promotional initiatives with other Promotions managers (PR Manager, Events Manager, and Graphics Manager)
- Ensure all promotions and branding are happening in an effective and professional manner
- Coordinate street team volunteers assistance at Radio Laurier events
- Liaise with the Brantford Promotions Manager to unsure a consistent approach across both campuses
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Uphold and update Street Team policy
- Work in a respectful and inclusive manner with all other Radio Laurier managers
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
Brantford Director
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The RL Brantford Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Radio Laurier in Brantford. The RL Brantford Director hires and supervises the work of all Radio Laurier volunteers and managers in Brantford.
Based at: Brantford Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Hire, orientate and Train all Brantford volunteers
- Meet regularly and supervise all DJ’s and Management
- Conduct regular general RL Brantford volunteer meetings as well as Management meetings
- Facilitate regular workshops for all volunteers
- Liaise with the Brantford Manager regarding disciplinary process as needed
- Ensure effective promotion and production is being done on the Brantford Campus.
- Sit on the Programming Committee via Skype
- Liaise with the Station Manager and Program Director about Brantford Content.
- Attend all Brantford general staff meetings unless due warning is provided to the Brantford Manager
- Represent Radio Laurier at all meetings and conferences as required by the Brantford Manager or Station Manager
- Work with the Brantford Manager and Station Manager to complete a Strategic Plan for Radio Laurier
- Ensure and assist both the Brantford Promotions Manager and the Brantford Production Manager achieve their outlined duties
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Brantford Manager of Operations or the Station Manager.
General Management
Events Manager
Reports to: Station Manager and Promotions Director
General Function: The Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, promotion and execution of all Radio Laurier events.
Based at: Waterloo Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Oversee the planning of all Radio Laurier events
- Ensure Radio Laurier events are consistent with the Radio Laurier and WLUSP mission and vision.
- Ensure the effective promotion of all Radio Laurier events along with the Promotions and Branding Director
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Graphics Manager
Reports to: Station Manager and Promotions Director
General Function: The Graphics Manager is responsible for making all posters and images required at the station.
Based at: Either Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Coordinate all graphics (logos, posters, etc.) for Radio Laurier along with Promotions director
- Facilitate all internal graphic requests, time permitted
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Public Relations Manager
Reports to: Station Manager and Promotions Director
General Function: The PR Manager is responsible for overseeing all Public Relations for Radio Laurier. Ensuring professional and regular communications with publicists, bands, venues, and record labels and maintaining the Radio Laurier twitter account.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Oversee the professional operation of the Radio Laurier twitter account
- Ensure Radio Laurier twitter posts are compliant with WLUSP and Radio Laurier policy
- Ensure effective organization and promotion of show social media
- Monitor the twitter accounts of any show associated with Radio Laurier
- Work with the Events Manager and Promotions and Branding Coordinator to ensure the effective promotion of all Radio Laurier events
- Manage a team of Public Relations Assistants
- Being the external contact for all media purposes, unless otherwise stated
- Be available to or provide someone to greet an interviewee on a show.
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager

Production Manager
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Production Manager is responsible for producing pre-recorded on air content for ads, show promos and PSA’s on the Waterloo campus.
Based at: Waterloo Campus
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Effectively train and manage all production assistants
- Assist programmers in pre-recording content or shows when required
- Record PSA’s and ad’s by the deadline required by the Station Manager
- Assist programmers and volunteers with cutting interviews and preparing them to go to air
- Facilitate production workshops and workshops at general meetings
- Facilitate shows to podcast themselves
- Uphold and update team policy
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Technical Manager
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing all tech for Radio Laurier and effectively managing all tech volunteers.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Effectively train and manage all tech assistants
- Hold weekly meetings with tech volunteers
- Recruit technical assistants
- Assist in the set-up and take down of all tech equipment for live broadcasts and DJ’ing of events
- Ensure technicians are present at events as required by the Station Manager
- Facilitate technical training and workshops, including those at general meetings
- Ensure all software’s, equipment and computers are in working order
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager

Morning Show Manager and After Class
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Morning Show/ After Class Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a daily morning show and after class show on Radio Laurier, effectively managing all Morning Show and After Class programmers and ensuring quality content.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Effectively train and manage all volunteers with the assistance of the Programming director
- Coordinate weekly morning show and after class meetings
- Work with the PR Manager to schedule appropriate interviews
- Create and monitor the volunteer schedule
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Uphold and update team policy
- Assist in the recruitment of volunteers
- Create and continue to update a relevant outline for the show
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP

Online Manager
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Web Manager is responsible for overseeing the Radio Laurier website; including style, format, and updating content when required by the Station Manager.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Update the website when required by the station manager
- Monitor comments on the Radio Laurier website
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Manage all content on the Radio Laurier website
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager

Sports Manager
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Sports Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the a daily sports show as well as all sports programming including live broadcasts; effectively managing all volunteers and content.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Effectively train and manage all Sports Team volunteers
- Coordinate weekly Sports Team meeting
- Uphold and update team policy
- Create and monitor the sports show schedule
- Facilitate the Brantford version of the Sports Crunch
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Being the external contact for all sports media purposes, unless otherwise stated
- Act as a liaison between Laurier Athletics and Radio Laurier and all other Sports team partners
- Act as the face of Radio Laurier to athletes and other sports related contacts
- Manage all live sports coverage
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager

News Manager
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Sports Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the a daily sports show as well as all sports programming including live broadcasts; effectively managing all volunteers and content.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Organize and produce a daily news podcast to be aired on the Morning Show and possibly syndicated nation wide
- Work with the Station Manager to recruit news based programming at the station
- Work with the Station Manager to build a News Podcast volunteer position as/if needed
- Write simple online news based content for the RL Website
- Work with DJ’s of news themed shows to ensure proper and professional coverage
- Work with other Radio Laurier managers in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Promote synergy with other departments of WLUSP
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Station Manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Music Manager- External
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Music Manager- External is responsible for overseeing the day to day external relations in regards to music at Radio Laurier as well as the Radio Laurier music library.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP Code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the Station Manager
- Attend all other meeting or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Contact labels, bands and Public Relations Firms to increase Radio Laurier’s Servicing
- Liaise with the Station Manager, Program Director and Internal Music Manager about other music related tasks
- Collecting music that is relevant to many of our specific original programs.
- Tracking radio play of all recent submissions
- Assembling and mailing out weekly charts
- Keeping consistent communication with outside music contacts
- Coordinate proper communication with the Internal Music Manager
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the station manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Music Manager- Internal
Reports to: Station Manager
General Function: The Music Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in regards to music at Radio Laurier as well as the Radio Laurier music library on an internal focus.
Based at: Waterloo
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the WLUSP code of Conduct
- Attend all management meetings unless due warning is given to the station Manager
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Liaise with the Station Manager, Program Director and External Music manager about music tasks.
- Screen and Catalogue all music received by Radio Laurier
- Facilitate effective use of the charting forms by the DJ’s.
- Manage Music Assistants to ensure all music is being processed.
- Ensure all information is being recorded in order for the External music manager to effectively answer inquiries.
- Be aware of the musical library for our DJ’s who host original shows.
- Coordinate proper communication with the External music manager
- Any other reasonable duties as require by the station manager
- Provide at least a bi-weekly show review for programming
Brantford Production Manager
Reports to: Brantford Director
General Function: The Production Manager is responsible for producing pre-recorded on air content for ads, show promos and PSA’s.

Brantford Promotions Manager
Reports to: Brantford Director
General Function: The Promotions Manager is responsible for managing the Promotions Team and organizing all promotions on campus and in the community at the Brantford Campus.
Based at: Brantford Campus
Responsibilities:

- Attend all Brantford management meetings unless due warning is given to the Brantford Director
- Attend all other meetings or conferences as required by the Station Manager
- Work with the Brantford Director and Station Manager to build the Brantford Promotions volunteer position
- Effectively train and manage all Promotions Team members
- Hold weekly Promotions Team meetings
- Coordinate a bi-weekly booth on campus
- Organize and run all Brantford RL events with the assistance of the Brantford Director as well as the use of the Promotions Team
- Liaise with the Waterloo Promotions and Branding Coordinator and the WLUSP Brantford Social Media Manager (for social media only) in regards to ensuring there is consistent promotion on both campuses
- Ensure all promotions and branding are happening in an effective and professional manner
- Facilitate workshops at general meetings
- Uphold and update Promotions Team Policy once creating it with the Brantford Director and Station Manager
