Indonesian Court Overturns Sexual Abuse Acquittal for Canadian Teacher

The family of a Canadian school teacher are stunned after the Indonesian Supreme Court overturned the acquittal of Neil Bantleman and sentenced him to 11 years in prison.

Bantleman and Ferdinant Tijong were sentenced to spend 10 years in prison after sexually abusing three children at a prestigious school in Jakarta. They were both acquitted last August until this Wednesday when a judge overturned their aquital

The two men were also ordered to pay a $7,440 fine each or to serve six more months in jail.

Foreign Affairs have stated that Canadian govt is deeply shocked by the Supreme courts decision.

Both Bantleman and Tijong worked at the Jakarta Intercultural School.


Families Sue Malaysia Airlines 370 After Almost Two Year of Searching

On Thursday, a woman who lost her husband on Malaysia Airlines 370 has sued both the airline and the government before a lawsuit filing for next month on the second anniversary of the airlines disapearnce

The Boeing 777 flew off course for unknown reasons after departing from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing on March 8, 2014. After a wide search, no traces of the plane had been found until last year when a flaperon from the plane was found washed up on the shores of Reunion Island.

A global aviation agreement has set in place a two-year deadline for filing lawsuits by next-of-kin concerning air accidents.

No other parts of the plane have been found and the search is set to end in June or July of this year.


Kesha Vows to Help Women Speak Out

Popstar, Kesha has vowed to help women speak out against sexual abuse as she too fights to be released from a contract with her current record label, Sony Music.

She currently fights to be set free from her contractual bind with producer, Lukasz Gottwald, also known as Dr. Luke who Kesha has accused of rape.

The 28-year-old singer has said in a lawsuit that Dr. Luke allegedly drugged her and assaulted her sexually, physically and emotionally.

Some of Hollywoods top entertainers are now standing by Keshas side in support such as Lady Gaga and Adel.

Kesha has stated her gratitude for the outpouring of support, in a Facebook posting,stating: “At this point, the issue is bigger than just about me.”
