The Dodo's 'Carrier' Review

The Dodo's 'Carrier' Review

For Fans Of: Kings of Leon / Said The Whale

The Dodo’s are back with their fifth studio album, and no time could be more perfect to discover this San Francisco indie band then during midterm season. With a sound reminiscent to Canadian group Said The Whale, The Dodos album Carrier, provides the perfect consolatory experience to your exam studying blues.

With soothing, melancholy and often introspective melodies¬†Carrier provide an interesting and new sound from a band that has previously built a large part of their sound off of more upbeat numbers. Stand outs on the album for me include: “Destroyer” and “Relief.”

So if you haven’t already fallen in love with this band, go check out The Dodo’s new album Carrier: while this album won’t promise you an upbeat pick-me-up, it will provide you with a companion that makes the crazy work load this time of year that much more bearable.
