Woodstock '69

Hi all and welcome back students!

Tuesday marked the birth of Festie’s Hour first show. Thank you to everyone who tuned in to listen, I hope you enjoyed the time travel to 1969 where we visited Woodstock. We got a chance to listen to some groovy live tunes by Richie Havens, Santana, Janice Joplin, The Who, Jefferson Airplane and last but not least, my man Jimi Hendrix. Here’s a list of highlights from the festival incase you missed the show:

Day One: Friday August 15, 1969

Richie Havens opened the festival with Freedom
Joan Baez was also 6 months preggo while performing.

Day Two/Day Three: Saturday August 16, 1969 – Sunday August 17, 1969

Santana played Evil Ways and Soul Sacrifice.
Janice Joplin played Summertime, Try (Just a little bit), and Piece of my Heart.
The Who played until sunrise from 5-6 am with Pinball Wizard and My Generation.
Jefferson Airplane follows The Who with Somebody to Love and White Rabbit.

Day Four: Monday August 18, 1969

Jimi Hendrix’s 2 hour set included songs Purple Haze, Star Spangled Banner and Hey Joe.
