Twice the Fun on 'Connect the Crates'!!

Word,

Today on ‘Connect the Crates’ I decided to feature songs that have been sampled multiple times. This show could have very well lasted for about 12 days, but I managed to condense it into an hour.

To be quite honest, I simply picked the playlist based on what came to my head. It’s interesting to note how the same song can be sampled numerous times, with the end results being entirely different.

I started the night off by playing the completely over-sampled ‘Nautilus’ by Bob James. I chose ‘Beats to the Rhyme’ by Run DMC and ‘Daytona 500’ by Ghostface Killah as examples of songs that sampled ‘Nautilus.’ Off the top of my head, I know the song was also sampled for ‘Clap Your Hands’ by A Tribe Called Quest, ‘My Mind Spray’ by Jeru the Damaja, ‘Daam!’ by The Alcoholiks, and a whole bunch of others.

Thanks for listening and keep your fingers dusty!
